International Nonproprietary Name - Netilmycinum, Dexamethason Active Substance - Netilmicin, Dexamethasone sodium phosphate Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Antibacterial and Anti-inflammatory Agents for Local Use Manufacturer: SIFI Country of Manufacture: Italy Dosage Form: 5 ml vial Composition and Dosage Form: 1 ml Netilmicin ............ 3 mg Dexamethasone sodium phosphate ........ 1 mg Benzalkonium chloride 0.005% Pharmacological Properties: Netilmicin is an aminoglycoside antibiotic with broad-spectrum antibacterial activity against Gram-negative and Gram-positive microorganisms: Staphylococcus (st. aureus, st. epidermidis), as well as methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and coagulase-resistant staphylococcus. Dexamethasone belongs to glucocorticosteroids, which have anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, and desensitizing effects. It is also characterized by anti-exudative and immunosuppressive action. Dexamethasone rapidly eliminates inflammatory processes and practically does not cause sodium and water retention in the body. In combination with antibacterial components, the preparation reduces the risk of developing infectious processes. Indications: Blepharitis; Conjunctivitis; Keratitis (without epithelial damage); Prophylaxis and treatment of post-operative infections. Dosage and Administration: 1 drop 4 times a day Prescribed for children from 2 years of age. Side Effects: Hypersensitivity and allergic reactions, conjunctival hyperemia. Secondary infections, increased intraocular pressure. Contraindications: Keratitis caused by simple herpes; Viral infections of the conjunctiva and cornea; Ocular mycobacterial infection; Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Not recommended during the removal of foreign bodies from the cornea. Not for intraocular injection. Pregnancy and Lactation: Administration of the preparation is recommended only when the beneficial effect of treatment outweighs the risk of possible adverse effects on the fetus. Use of the preparation is not recommended when wearing contact lenses. Contact lenses should be removed before using the preparation, and their use is recommended no earlier than 15 minutes after administration of the preparation.
