What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Metronidazolum+Miconazolum Pharmacological Group: Topical Antifungal Agents Composition Active Ingredients: Metronidazole and Miconazole Nitrate. One pessary contains 750 mg of Metronidazole and 200 mg of Miconazole Nitrate. Other Ingredient: Hard Fat. Appearance and Contents Cylindrical-conical pessaries, white or white with a yellowish tint. The preparation is packed in 7 pessaries in a PVC/PE blister pack. 1 blister pack in a cardboard box with an insert leaflet. Pharmacological Group Antiseptic and Antimicrobial Agents, Used in Gynecology. Action A combined preparation containing active ingredients: Metronidazole, with antimicrobial and antiprotozoal action, and Miconazole Nitrate, with antifungal action. Indications Candidal vulvovaginitis; Trichomonal vaginitis; Bacterial vaginosis; Mixed vaginal infections. NIDAMICON How to Use Always use the preparation in strict accordance with the recommendations of your doctor or pharmacist. If in doubt, consult your doctor or pharmacist. The preparation is intended for vaginal use. Pessaries are inserted deep into the vagina, in a lying position. It is recommended to use one pessary once a day, in the evening, before bedtime, for 7 days. For recurrent infections or vaginitis resistant to other treatment methods, it is recommended to use one pessary once a day, in the evening, before bedtime, for 14 days. Pregnancy and Lactation If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, or suspect you may be pregnant or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before starting the preparation. If the preparation is necessary, women should avoid pregnancy by using contraceptive methods. The use of the preparation is contraindicated in the first trimester of pregnancy. In the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, use is possible only on the doctor's prescription, after careful assessment of the benefit/risk. If the preparation is necessary during lactation, breastfeeding should be discontinued, as metronidazole passes into breast milk. Breastfeeding can be resumed 24-48 hours after the end of treatment.
