What is it?
International name - citidine, uridine Clinical-pharmacological group: Central Nervous System → Agents for Peripheral Nervous System Pathology Composition Capsules: 30 pcs. per pack 1 cap. citidine . . . 5 mg; uridine . . 3 mg Lyophilized powder for preparation of solution for injection: 16 mg per ampoule, 3 pcs. per pack 1 amp. citidine . . .10 mg uridine . . . . .6 mg Excipient: sodium chloride solution up to 2 ml Indications Neuralgias of osteoarticular (radiculopathies – lumbago, lumbalgia, lomboischialgia), metabolic (alcoholic, diabetic polyneuropathies), infectious (herpes zoster, AIDS) origin. Also inflammatory diseases of the trigeminal, facial, and intercostal nerves and nerve plexuses. Dosage and Administration Capsules Adults: 1-3 capsules orally 2 times a day; Children: 1 capsule orally 2 times a day. Ampoules: Adults: 1 injection once a day. Children: 1 injection every 2 days. Standard course of treatment for adults: 3 capsules 2 times a day for 10 days (=2 packs); 1 intramuscular injection per day for three days (=1 pack). Standard course of treatment for children: 1 capsule 2 times a day for 10 days (total 20 capsules); 1 intramuscular injection on the first day and 1 injection on the third day. Dosage may be increased by doctor's prescription. Lyophilized powder must be completely dissolved in the solution immediately before injection. Side Effects Not described. If you notice any signs related to the administration of the preparation, consult your doctor. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Pregnancy and Lactation Administration of the preparation in pregnant and lactating women is not contraindicated, however, the decision on the administration of the preparation should be made by a doctor if the expected benefit of maternal treatment outweighs the risk to the child. Overdose Given the low toxicity of the preparation, overdose is unlikely even with accidental overdose. Storage Conditions and Shelf Life The preparation should be stored in a place inaccessible to children. Shelf life is indicated on the packaging.
