What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Sodium hyaluronate, Taurine, Na.Mg.K chloride Ophthalmological solution 10 ml vial Composition 100 ml of solution contains: Sodium hyaluronate 0.4 g; Taurine 0.5 g; Sodium chloride, magnesium chloride, potassium chloride, monobasic sodium phosphate, dibasic sodium phosphate, water for injection. Packaging: The Optayal Plus box contains N1, 10 ml vial of preservative-free eye drops. Usage: Optayal Plus is a hypotonic solution indicated for "dry eye". It can be used with contact lenses. Thanks to the high concentration of hyaluronic acid (0.4%) and the presence of magnesium and potassium in the preparation, Optayal Plus moisturizes and lubricates the eye surface and increases tear film stability. The unique properties of Optayal Plus are significantly determined by the presence of taurine in its composition. Taurine is one of the important amino acids physiologically present in tears and in the tissues of the anterior segment of the eye in general. Various studies have shown that in a hyperosmolar environment, taurine increases the resistance of epithelial cells. Hyperosmolarity of the tear film is associated with the development of "dry eye" symptoms. Optayal Plus protects the corneal epithelium from the harmful factors that cause dry eye, such as: - Unfavorable environmental conditions (wind, cold, sun, salt water, air conditioning, smoke, exhaust fumes) - Eye irritation caused by contact lens wear - Eye fatigue from prolonged computer work - Dry eye caused by menopause, diabetes, and certain medications Optayal Plus lubricates and moisturizes the contact lens itself, making contact lens wear easier (insertion, removal, all-day wear). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components. Precautions: Optayal Plus is a solution for external use. When using with other topical preparations, maintain a 10-minute interval between instillations. To avoid contamination of the solution, it is recommended to use the vial individually. Avoid touching the dropper tip to the hand, eye, contact lens, or any other surface. Do not use the solution after the expiry date indicated on the box. Dosage regimen: - 1-2 drops in the conjunctival sac as needed. - When inserting and removing contact lenses, apply 1 drop of Optayal Plus to the lens. Instructions for use: - For first use, remove the protective tape, remove the cap. - Instill into the conjunctival sac by squeezing the sides of the vial. - Replace the cap after each use. Side effects: - Rarely, blurred vision upon instillation due to the viscosity of the solution, which disappears very quickly. - In very rare cases, it may cause burning and irritation. To avoid side effects, please follow the recommendations in the instructions. Shelf life and storage conditions: Store at 20°C-25°C, out of reach of children. Use within 6 months of opening. Do not use Optayal Plus if the vial is damaged. Do not tighten the vial if it is closed with the cap.
