What is it?

Optinol Allergy 2% Ectoin Medical Device Name: Optinol Allergy - Eye Drops, 10ml Composition: Ectoin - 2.00%; Hydroxyethyl cellulose - 0.35%; Sodium chloride - 0.35%; Trisodium citrate dihydrate - 0.29%; Citric acid anhydrous (1M solution) to pH 7.4; Distilled water - up to 100.0%; Does not contain preservatives. Purpose: Optinol - protection from allergens is a sterile, isotonic solution containing Ectoin - a cell-protecting natural molecule with anti-inflammatory and membrane-stabilizing effects. Ectoin is produced by various extremophilic microorganisms in response to increased salt concentrations in the extracellular space, as well as other environmental changes, to protect cells from the effects of unfavorable environmental factors. Due to its high affinity for water molecules (hydrophilicity), Ectoin forms strong bonds with them, resulting in the formation of a protective and stabilizing film on the conjunctival surface, called the Ectoin Hydro Complex. It protects the conjunctival surface from dehydration by accumulating water. Due to its stabilizing effect, the Ectoin Hydro Complex protects the conjunctival surface from inflammatory reactions caused by aggressive environmental factors (such as dehydration or allergens). Indications for Use and Purpose of the Medical Device: Ophthalmology: Optinol Allergy is used for the relief and prevention of symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis, as it effectively relieves itching, inflammation, and watering of the eyes. Optinol Allergy protects the eyes from the damaging effects of allergens and helps restore irritated and sensitive conjunctiva. Optinol Allergy is effective for contact lens wearers. It can be used without removing the lenses. Optinol Allergy is used in individuals with increased eye sensitivity and in children from 2 years of age. Contraindications: Children under 2 years of age. Precautions and Restrictions During Use of the Medical Device: Optinol Allergy can be used in the postoperative period after eye surgery and trauma, after consulting a doctor.
