What is it?
Name - Oxolin Ointment Nasal 0.25% 10g Tube Pharmacodynamics Oxolin has an antiviral effect against influenza virus. It blocks the binding of the virus to the surface of cell membranes and prevents virus reproduction in cells. Contraindication: Individual hypersensitivity to the components of the ointment. Dosage and Administration: Ointment for topical use. For influenza prophylaxis - apply the ointment to the nasal mucosa 2-3 times a day during periods of influenza outbreaks and maximum spread (daily for 25 days) or upon contact with an influenza patient. Treatment of viral rhinitis - apply the ointment to the nasal mucosa 2-3 times a day for 3-4 days. Side effects: Burning sensation of the nasal mucosa, rhinorrhea may occur. Rarely, cyanosis of the nasal mucosa may occur. Precautions: Use with caution in pregnant women, during lactation, and in children under 2 years of age. During lactation and pregnancy, the drug can be used only when the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature of 8-15°C, in a cool, dark, and inaccessible place for children!
