What is it?
Ovvestin Composition: 1 suppository contains: Active substance: Estriol (micronized estriol) 0.5 mg Excipients: Hard fat with additives (hard fat, glycerylricinoleate, macrogol cetostearyl ether) Indications: Hormone replacement therapy (HRT): Treatment of urogenital atrophy in postmenopausal women associated with estrogen deficiency. Pre- and postoperative therapy in postmenopausal women undergoing surgery with a vaginal approach. As an adjunctive diagnostic measure in cases of suspicious cervical smears in oncocytology (PAP test, class III) in menopausal women with abnormal cells detected against a background of atrophic changes. Use during pregnancy and lactation: Pregnancy: The use of Ovvestin during pregnancy is contraindicated. If pregnancy occurs during treatment with Ovvestin, treatment should be discontinued immediately. Lactation: The use of Ovvestin during lactation is contraindicated. Method of administration and dosage: Ovvestin contains only estrogen, so it can be used in women with an intact uterus or with a history of hysterectomy. Method of administration: Intravaginally, in the evening before bedtime. The suppositories should be inserted deeply into the vagina while lying on your back. Women who are not on hormone replacement therapy or who are switching from a continuous combined hormone replacement therapy regimen can start taking the drug on any day. When switching from a cyclical or continuous sequential regimen of hormone replacement therapy, Ovvestin should be started immediately after the completion of the previous cycle of hormone replacement therapy. Storage conditions: At temperatures between 2°C and 25°C, protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
