What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - amlodipine, indapamide, perindopril Clinical-pharmacological group: Cardiovascular system → Antihypertensives → Combination agents → Agents containing angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor and diuretic Triplixam is a combination of three active ingredients: perindopril, indapamide, and amlodipine. It is an antihypertensive medication used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Patients who are taking a fixed-dose combination of perindopril/indapamide and amlodipine as separate tablets may take one tablet of Triplixam, containing all three active ingredients in the same amounts. Each active ingredient lowers blood pressure, and together they control your blood pressure: • Perindopril belongs to a class of drugs called angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. It widens blood vessels, making it easier for the heart to pump blood through them. • Indapamide is a diuretic (belonging to a class of medications called sulfonamide derivatives with an indoline ring). Diuretics increase the amount of urine produced by the kidneys. However, indapamide differs from other diuretics in that it only causes a slight increase in the amount of urine produced. • Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker (belonging to a group of medications called dihydropyridines). It works by relaxing blood vessels, allowing blood to move more easily through their lumens. How to take Triplixam Always take this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Take the tablet with a glass of water, preferably in the morning, before a meal. Your doctor will decide which dose is appropriate for you. Usually, it is one tablet. If you take more Triplixam than you should If you take too many tablets, your blood pressure may drop, which can be dangerous and sometimes accompanied by nausea, vomiting, cramps, dizziness, drowsiness, confusion, oliguria (reduced urine output), or anuria (cessation of urine production or excretion). You may feel dizzy, your heart may pound, or you may feel weak. A sharp drop in blood pressure can lead to shock. Your skin may become cold and clammy, and you may lose consciousness. If you have taken too many Triplixam tablets, seek medical help immediately. If you forget to take Triplixam For the medicine to be effective, it is important that you take it regularly, every day. However, if you forget to take a dose of Triplixam, take your next dose at the usual time. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose. If you stop taking Triplixam Since the treatment of hypertension usually lasts a lifetime, consult your doctor before stopping this medication. If you have any questions about the use of this medicine, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
