What is it?
Dosage form: Tincture Composition (per 25ml): Peppermint leaves - 1.25g Peppermint oil - 1.25g 90% ethyl alcohol - sufficient quantity to obtain 25ml of tincture. Contains biologically active substances: essential oils (main component menthol - 60%, menthene - 10-25%), oleic and ursolic acids, flavonoids, carotene. Pharmacological action: Has sedative, antispasmodic, analgesic, antiseptic, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory action. Reflexively dilates cerebral and cardiac blood vessels. Reduces smooth muscle tone of the intestines, has choleretic action, enhances capillary blood supply and intestinal peristalsis by stimulating peripheral neuroreceptors of the intestinal mucosa, stimulates secretion of digestive tract glands, reduces dyspeptic phenomena, has antiemetic effect, improves appetite. Effective as an inhalation for inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract, has expectorant, mucolytic action, helps restore the function of the ciliated epithelium of the upper respiratory tract. Indications: Used in complex therapy as an adjunct for: Diseases of the gastrointestinal tract with inflammatory processes Spastic conditions of the gastrointestinal tract of neurogenic origin Meteorism Cholecystitis, cholangitis Vomiting, nausea Inflammatory processes of the upper respiratory tract (pharyngitis, laryngitis, tracheitis) Dosage and administration: Orally, 10-15 drops 3-4 times a day after meals (drops should be diluted in 1/4 cup of water). Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Side effects: Inhalation use in children is not allowed, as menthol can cause bronchospasm and reflex respiratory depression. Effect on ability to drive and operate machinery: Caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery after taking the preparation, as it affects the ability to concentrate and react quickly. Overdose: Prolonged intake of large doses may reduce the speed of psychomotor reactions. Missed dose: If a dose is missed, the next dose should be taken according to the original schedule. Interaction with other drugs: Not studied. Use in pediatrics: Not used (contains ethyl alcohol) Packaging: 25 ml tincture in amber glass or polymer bottles with a dropper and screw cap.
