What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name (Active Ingredient): comb. drug Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Biologically Active Supplements Urology, Nephrology Composition Saw Palmetto 300mg Bearberry 50mg Nettle 250mg Pumpkin Seed Oil 300mg Lycopene 0.5mg Pharmacological Action Saw Palmetto acts similarly to 5-alpha reductase inhibitors. It inhibits type 1 and type 2 5-alpha reductase, preventing the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone. Unlike other 5-alpha reductase inhibitors, it does not affect prostate-specific antigen transcription or influence antigen synthesis. Nettle has an anti-inflammatory effect. By engaging in the 5-lipoxygenase pathway, it inhibits leukotriene B4 synthesis, and by interfering with the cyclooxygenase pathway, it inhibits prostaglandin synthesis. It significantly reduces the concentration of tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-α) and interleukin 1 beta (IL-1β). It increases daily urine volume. Bearberry's action is due to its high content of zinc, free fatty acids, and sterols. Pumpkin seed oil significantly regulates urination-related problems and promotes normal bladder function. Lycopene accumulates in large quantities near the nucleus of prostate epithelial cells and provides chemoprevention through various mechanisms. Long-term intake of lycopene has been proven to reduce the risk of developing prostate cancer. Indications Prostatitis. Benign prostatic hyperplasia (grades 1 and 2). Dosage and Administration 1 capsule once a day. Course duration is 1-2 months. The preparation can be used long-term. Dosage Form # 30 capsules, for oral use.
