What is it?

International Nonproprietary Name - Dorzolamidum+Timololum Protizol is a combination of timolol and dorzolamide. Timolol belongs to a group of drugs called "beta-blockers". Dorzolamide belongs to a group of drugs called "carbon anhydrase inhibitors". These drugs reduce intraocular pressure. Protizol eye drops, solution is used to treat elevated intraocular pressure (glaucoma) when treatment with a beta-blocker is insufficient to lower intraocular pressure. The medication should be used as prescribed by your doctor. If you are unsure, inform your doctor or pharmacist. Your doctor will prescribe the amount of Protizol drops to take and the duration of its use. The recommended dose is one drop in the affected eye(s) twice daily (morning and evening), every 12 hours. If you are taking Protizol with other topical ophthalmic preparations, they should be administered at 10-minute intervals. Do not change the dose of the medication without consulting your doctor. If you stop treatment, consult your doctor immediately. Instructions for use: 1. Before opening the bottle for the first time, check the tamper-evident seal, wash your hands, and get into a comfortable position. 2. Twist and remove the cap. 3. Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid of the affected eye to create a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye. 4. Bring the dropper tip close to the eye, but do not touch it. 5. Gently squeeze the bottle until a drop falls. 6. Press your finger to the corner of your eye towards your nose for 2 minutes. This will prevent the medication from being absorbed systemically. 7. Repeat the procedure for the other eye if recommended by your doctor. 8. Replace the cap on the bottle. If you think Protizol is too strong or too weak, inform your doctor or pharmacist. Use in children Protizol is not recommended for use in children. Use in liver failure Inform your doctor about any existing liver problems or if you have had similar problems in the past. If you take more Protizol than you should If you instill a large dose of Protizol into your eye or swallow it, you may experience dizziness, difficulty breathing, or a slowed heart rate. If such effects occur, inform your doctor immediately. If you forget to use Protizol It is important to use Protizol as prescribed by your doctor. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your regular schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
