Xailin Night for relief of dry eye symptoms during the night Xailin Night is a multi-dose, preservative-free, white, translucent, free from foreign ingredients, gentle ointment for relieving discomfort caused by dry eyes during the night. The packaging consists of 5 g (for sale) or 3.5 g (sample) of sterile eye ointment. Composition: Xailin Night consists of White Soft Paraffin 57.3% w:w, White Mineral Liquid 42.5% w:w and Lanolin Alcohol 0.2% w:w, which forms a transparent, lubricating and moisturizing film on the surface of the eye. Xailin Night relieves symptoms of dry eyes such as pain, irritation or foreign body sensation. It acts as a barrier against moisture loss. Ideal for use before sleep. Symptoms of dry eyes are caused by a disruption of the tear film, which can be caused by various reasons when the tear quality is poor or produced in very small amounts, resulting in the eye surface not being able to retain moisture. There are no clinical data on use in adolescents <18 years of age. Do not use in children and pregnant women. Use of the product in these groups is at the doctor's discretion. How to use Xailin Night: Before opening the tube, please check that the protective strip on the cap is not broken. - Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before use. - Remove the protective strip to break the seal. - Remove the outer cap. - If you wear contact lenses, remove the lenses. - Tilt your head back and look up. - Gently pull down your lower eyelid to create a small pocket between the eyelid and the eye. - Hold the tube between your thumb and index finger of your other hand, bring the tube close to your eye and try not to touch your eye. - Squeeze the tube to place a thin line of ointment approximately 1 cm long. - Blink several times. - If you miss a dose, then apply another line of ointment. - Carefully remove any excess Xailin Night around the eyelid with a tissue. - Repeat the process for the other eye if necessary. - Do not touch the tip of the applicator to the eye or fingers. - Maintain a minimum interval of 5 minutes between the use of any other ophthalmic products. Xailin® Night should always be the last product instilled. If your eye health condition does not change or worsens after using Xailin Night, please consult a doctor. How often to use Xailin Night: Apply a thin line of ointment approximately 1 cm long into each eye as needed. Precautions and warnings: - Do not use if the protective strip on the tube cap is broken. - Do not use if you are allergic to lanolin alcohols or any of the ingredients. - Do not use with contact lenses. - Do not share Xailin Night with another person. - Xailin Night may cause transient mild burning sensation or blurred vision after use. Wait until your vision clears before driving or operating machinery. - Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the carton or tube. - Store at temperatures from 1°C to 25°C. - Discard the contents 60 days after first opening. Keep out of reach of children. - For ophthalmic use only, do not swallow. - Dispose of the used tube in accordance with local waste management regulations.
