International Nonproprietary Name - dexpanthenol, xylometazoline Composition Xylazol, Nasal Spray for Children 1 ml of the preparation contains: Active substance: xylometazoline hydrochloride 0.5 mg, dexpanthenol 50 mg. Excipients: disodium hydrogen phosphate heptahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, benzalkonium chloride, purified water. Xylazol, Nasal Spray 1 ml of the preparation contains: Active substance: xylometazoline hydrochloride 1 mg, dexpanthenol 50 mg. Excipients: disodium hydrogen phosphate heptahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate monohydrate, benzalkonium chloride, purified water. Pharmacotherapeutic group Decongestants and other preparations for topical use in nasal cavity diseases. Xylometazoline in combination with other agents. Indications for use Used in acute respiratory diseases with symptoms of rhinitis, acute allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, sinusitis, otitis media (as part of combination therapy to reduce swelling of the nasopharyngeal mucosa), to facilitate rhinoscopy, to restore impaired nasal breathing after surgical interventions in the nasal cavity. Method of administration and dosage For intranasal use. Xylazol, Nasal Spray for Children The preparation is used in children aged 2 to 6 years, one spray in each nostril, no more than 3 times a day. Dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical response. Xylazol, Nasal Spray The preparation is used in adults and children over 6 years of age, one spray in each nostril, no more than 3 times a day. Dosage depends on individual sensitivity and clinical response. Xylazol should not be used for more than 7 days; repeated use is possible only after a break of several days. For the duration of use in children, consult a doctor. Method of use: Remove the protective cap from the spray nozzle. Before the first use of the spray, press the spray nozzle several times until the preparation is evenly dispensed. For subsequent use, the bottle is ready for use. Before use, clean the nose, insert the spray nozzle into the nostril. The bottle should be held in a vertical position. It is recommended to inhale lightly through the nose during spraying. After use, clean the spray nozzle and cover with the protective cap. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation; - Dry rhinitis; - Surgical intervention on the meninges (in history); - Age up to 2 years (for Nasal Spray for Children); - Age up to 6 years (for Nasal Spray)
