International Name: SHARK LIVER OIL; PHENYLEPHRINE Active Substance: Shark Liver Oil, Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Hemorrhoid Treatment Composition and Dosage Form: Ointment: 28.4 g tube 1 g Shark Liver Oil .......... ..... 30 mg Phenylephrine Hydrochloride .... 2.5 mg Excipients: Mineral oil, petrolatum, methyl and propyl parabens, lanolin, benzoic acid, corn oil, glycerin, lanolin alcohol, paraffin, distilled water, cod liver oil, vitamin, white wax. Rectal Suppositories: 6 suppositories per blister, 2 blisters per pack. 1 supp. Shark Liver Oil ................ 60 mg Phenylephrine Hydrochloride ..... 5 mg Excipients: Cocoa butter 85%, starch, methyl and propyl parabens. Rectal Suppositories: After hygienic procedures, insert one suppository rectally - once in the morning, once in the evening, and after each bowel movement, 4 times a day. Side Effects: Rarely, in case of overdose, allergic reactions may occur: hyperemia of the skin in the anal area, rash, or itching. Contraindications: * Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation; * Thromboembolism, granulocytopenia. Special Instructions: - It is not recommended to use the preparation without consulting a doctor in children under 12 years of age and in women during pregnancy and lactation. - The use of medicinal products for diabetes mellitus, arterial hypertension, hyperthyroidism, and prostate pathologies should be agreed with a doctor. - In case of excessive bleeding from the rectum or prolonged symptoms of the disease (more than 7 days), additional consultation with a proctologist is necessary. Overdose: In case of exceeding the recommended single and daily dose, a tendency towards hypercoagulation may be observed. Drug Interactions: Simultaneous use of the preparation with MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants, and antihypertensive agents is not recommended.
