What is it?
Composition: Chamomile flower contains terpenoid lactones (matricin, matricorein), essential oils (0.1-0.5%), azulene, flavonoid glycosides, coumarins, organic acids. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Anti-inflammatory, antispasmodic agent. Pharmacological properties: The preparation irritates nerve endings, exhibits antispasmodic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, sedative, and analgesic action. It has a choleretic effect, it reduces intestinal spasms. Essential oils somewhat strengthen and deepen breathing, regulate the rhythm of heart function. They expand blood circulation in the brain. Indication: Used for the treatment of inflammatory diseases of the oral cavity (stomatitis, gingivitis, tonsillitis, angina), as well as acute and chronic gastritis, stomach and duodenal ulcers, colitis, enterocolitis, inflammatory diseases of the liver and biliary tract. In cases of hemorrhoids, colitis, and enterocolitis, the preparation is used in the form of micro-enemas
