What is it?
Name - Sage Leaf Composition Sage leaf contains essential oils (0.5-2%), tannins, and B vitamins. Pharmacological Properties The preparation has an astringent and anti-inflammatory effect. Indications Pharmacotherapeutic group: Astringent, binding, and antacid agent. Used for inflammatory diseases of the nasopharynx, oral cavity, and upper respiratory tract as a gargle and inhalant. Effective for treating inflammatory skin diseases, purulent ulcers, wounds, mild frostbite, and burns. Sage leaf is used for gastritis, colitis, liver and kidney diseases, and bronchitis. Recommended as an expectorant and diuretic. Its intake reduces sweating, so it is taken in cases of excessive sweating, especially during menopause. Sage tincture is used as a cosmetic agent for treating acne. Contraindications The preparation cannot be used during pregnancy or in patients with nephritis
