Selcincor contains the essential microelement selenium, which is a cofactor of the antioxidant enzyme selenodependent glutathione peroxidase, which neutralizes the most aggressive free radicals and protects cells from their harmful effects. It increases the body's resistance to viruses and other pathogenic agents. Selenium is part of the enzyme iodothyronine 5-deiodinase, which: Controls the formation of triiodothyronine and protects the thyroid gland from free radical damage. Reduces the level of the stress hormone cortisol in the blood and improves mood.
