What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Sodium Selenit pentahydrate Active Substance: Sodium Selenite Pentahydrate 79 mcg Selenium per tablet Selenaza® RP tablets are a trace element preparation. Indications for use: Proven selenium deficiency that cannot be corrected by diet: Selenium deficiency may be caused by: - Maldigestive and malabsorptive conditions (due to impaired or weakened digestion) - Restricted or inadequate nutrition. Selenaza® RP tablets should always be taken as prescribed by a doctor. Please consult your doctor or pharmacist if you have any uncertainties. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dosage is: 1 tablet per day. Under medical supervision, the dosage can be increased to up to 4 tablets per day for a short period (approx. 300 mcg selenium). Method of administration: Selenaza® RP tablets should be taken with liquid - it is recommended to take them with a glass of water. Duration of administration: Treatment should continue until selenium levels normalize (selenium levels in plasma 80-120 mcg/L, in blood 100-140 mcg/L). Regular monitoring of selenium levels is recommended. If you have any further questions about the use of the medication, please consult your doctor or pharmacist.
