What is it?
International Name - Senosides Laxative Composition: Each sugar-coated tablet contains: Senna extract, equivalent to 13.5 mg of Sennosides A and B as calcium salt. Description: Sennosides are derived from the plant Cassia angustifolia. The preparation has a mild laxative effect, which manifests 8-10 hours after administration. It acts by irritating the receptors of the large intestine, leading to increased intestinal peristalsis. It has a laxative effect without irritating the intestines. It is excreted in feces and urine, and gives urine a specific yellow color. Indications: Senosides is indicated for constipation in adults and children. Contraindications: Senosides tablets should not be taken in cases of appendicitis or intestinal obstruction. Side Effects: Senosides may cause mild abdominal discomfort, such as colic or spasm. Prolonged use may cause diarrhea. Precautions: Senosides should not be used in patients with intestinal obstruction or undiagnosed abdominal symptomatology. Caution is also required in inflammatory bowel disease. Prolonged use is not recommended. Pregnancy and Lactation: During pregnancy and lactation, it is used only after assessing the benefit-risk ratio. Dosage and Administration: Children: (1 to 12 years old): 1 tablet before bedtime; Adults: 1-3 tablets before bedtime or as recommended by a doctor. Storage Conditions: Store in a dry, cool place, inaccessible to children.
