What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - sodium carmellose Composition: 3mg sodium carmellose in 1 ml solution. Excipients: polysorbate 80, hydroxypropylbetadex, alpha-tocopheryl acetate-vitamin E, sodium chloride, macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate, vitamin A, borax, disodium edetate, benzalkonium chloride, water for injection. Characteristic Properties: SENSIVIT® is a product with a softening and moisturizing effect. It stabilizes all three layers of the tear film on the eye surface. SENSIVIT® contains sodium carmellose, which due to its properties, forms a temporary protective layer on the surface of the cornea and conjunctiva, thus providing the necessary moisturizing effect. In this way, SENSIVIT® stabilizes the aqueous component of the tear film. It contains vitamin A, which contributes to the formation of the inner mucous layer of the tear film. Together with vitamin E, it improves the nutrition of the cornea and conjunctiva. The substances in the product also contribute to the outer (lipid) layer of the tear film. Thus, it prevents the rapid drying of tears on the eye surface. In this way, the thin tear film on the eye surface is strengthened or replaced in all three layers. Therefore, the protective effect of tears is significantly improved. Usage: SENSIVIT® is used for the treatment of insufficient tear production and for all forms of dry eye, as recommended by a doctor. SENSIVIT® can be used as needed when a protective moisturizing layer is required on the cornea and conjunctiva of the eye. Dosage: Unless otherwise prescribed by an ophthalmologist, use 1 drop 1-3 times daily in the conjunctival sac. The dosage in children is determined individually by an ophthalmologist. The product is used in adults, adolescents, and children over 2 years of age. Instructions for Use: The preparation is for ophthalmic use only. Remove the protective cap; the patient should tilt their head back slightly and instill the prescribed number of drops into the lower conjunctival sac by squeezing the plastic bottle. Avoid direct contact of the dropper with the eye or eyelid. Finally, tightly close the cap to prevent contamination. The bottle should be stored in an upright position. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the cap. Opened medicine can be used for 28 days.
