What is it?

Snupik, 0.01% Nasal Drops Active Ingredient: Oxymetazoline Oxymetazoline in the preparation has a vasoconstrictive effect, reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa and nasal discharge, and restores nasal breathing. When used at recommended doses, it does not irritate the nasal mucosa. Oxymetazoline acts quickly, within a few minutes. The duration of action of the preparation is up to 12 hours. Indications for use Snupik is indicated for children aged 0 to 1 year with the following indications: - Acute respiratory diseases with symptoms of rhinitis (runny nose); - Acute allergic rhinitis; - Exacerbation of vasomotor rhinitis; - To restore drainage in inflammation of the paranasal sinuses (sinusitis), eustachitis, otitis media; - Elimination of swelling before diagnostic procedures in the nasal cavity. If the condition does not improve or worsens, consult a doctor after 3 days. Pregnancy, lactation, and fertility If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine. During pregnancy or lactation, Snupik can only be used after consulting a doctor, when your doctor has assessed the benefits and risks of using the preparation. Caution is required in the presence of arterial hypertension or signs of reduced placental blood flow. Frequent or prolonged use of the preparation in large doses may lead to reduced placental blood flow. Use of Snupik Always use the preparation in strict accordance with the patient information leaflet or the recommendations of your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse. If you have any doubts, ask your doctor, pharmacist, or nurse for advice. Recommended dosage: Children up to 4 weeks old - 1 drop of 0.01% solution in each nostril 2-3 times a day. Children from the 5th week to 1 year old - 1-2 drops of 0.01% solution in each nostril 2-3 times a day. Route and method of administration Intranasal (into the nasal cavity). Cleanse the nasal cavity before use. Remove the protective cap from the bottle, turn the bottle so that the dropper tip is pointing downwards, place the dropper in the nasal cavity, and press the ring of the dropper once to administer 1 drop. Tilt the child's head back during administration. The effectiveness of the following procedure is also confirmed: 1-2 drops of 0.01% solution are applied to a cotton swab according to age and used to clean each nostril. Duration of therapy The preparation is used for 3 to 5 days. The preparation can be used at the recommended dose for no more than 7 days. A repeat course of the preparation is possible only after a few days during which the preparation was not used. With frequent and prolonged use of the preparation, the feeling of nasal "congestion" may reappear or worsen. In this case, treatment should be discontinued and a doctor should be consulted. Storage: Store the preparation out of the reach of children, where they cannot see it. Do not use the preparation after the expiry date indicated after "EXP" on the carton or bottle. The expiry date is the last day of the month. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C. After opening the bottle, the preparation should be used within 12 months. Composition: The active substance is oxymetazoline. 1 ml of solution contains 0.10 mg of oxymetazoline (in the form of hydrochloride). Other ingredients (excipients) are sea water, citric acid monohydrate, sodium citrate dihydrate, glycerol 85%, water for injection.
