Solgar - Laminaria /North Atlantic Kelp/ Tablet 200mcg Ingredients: Iodine (from North Atlantic Kelp) - 200mcg Kelp, also known as Laminaria, is a seaweed distinguished by its unique composition and medicinal properties. It is an exceptionally rich source of fiber. The main active substance in kelp is iodine, a microelement vitally important for the body. Iodine is a crucial component of thyroxine. Consequently, normal thyroid function is impossible without this microelement. Thyroid hormones participate in regulating metabolic processes in the body. They control the metabolism of proteins, fats, and carbohydrates; they are involved in the development of all organs and systems; they regulate the functioning of the brain, nervous and cardiovascular systems, and reproductive and mammary glands. Thyroid hormones also contribute to a child's growth and development and the formation of intellectual capabilities. Additional Ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Vegetable Cellulose, Dicalcium Phosphate, Vegetable Stearic Acid, Vegetable Magnesium Stearate.
