What is it?
SPEIBACT Composition: Each vial contains: Sodium Ampicillin (Sterile) USP equivalent to 1 g anhydrous Ampicillin; Sodium Sulbactam (Sterile) USP equivalent to 0.5 g anhydrous Sulbactam. Indications: Bacterial infections of various localizations caused by susceptible pathogens: - Respiratory tract infections (including pneumonia, lung abscess, chronic bronchitis, pleural empyema); - ENT infections (including sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media); - GI tract infections (dysentery, salmonellosis, salmonella carrier state); - Biliary tract infections (cholecystitis, cholangitis); - Bone and joint infections; - Urinary tract and genital organ infections (pyelonephritis, pyelitis, cystitis, urethritis, prostatitis, endometritis); - Skin and soft tissue infections (erysipelas, impetigo, secondarily infected dermatitides); - Septic endocarditis, meningitis, sepsis, peritonitis, pertussis, gonococcal infection; - Prevention of postoperative complications after surgery of abdominal cavity and pelvic organs. Official guidelines for the appropriate use of antibacterial agents should be consulted. Contraindications: - Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation and other antibiotics of the penicillin group; - Infectious mononucleosis; - History of severe immediate allergic reactions (e.g., anaphylaxis) to other beta-lactam antibiotics (e.g., cephalosporin, carbapenem, or monobactam); - Lactation period (breastfeeding). Duration of use: The duration of treatment is usually 5 to 14 days, depending on the severity of the infection and the course of the disease. In severe cases, treatment may be continued for a longer period. Treatment should be continued for another 48 hours after the disappearance of fever and other symptoms of the disease. Storage conditions: Store in a dry, light-protected place at a temperature not exceeding 25 C. Keep out of reach of children.
