International Nonproprietary Name - chloropyramine hydrochloride Clinical-pharmacological group: Allergology → Histamine H1 receptor blockers → Systemic drugs → First-generation preparations Composition Suprastin® solution for injection Composition: Each 1 ml ampoule contains 20 mg of chloropyramine hydrochloride. In addition to chloropyramine hydrochloride, the solution for injection contains water for injection. Solution for intramuscular injection. In acute, severe cases, it can be administered intravenously. Indications - Allergic diseases, for example: seasonal allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, urticaria, dermatographism, contact dermatitis, food and drug allergies, insect bite allergy, pruritus. - Adjuvant therapy for systemic anaphylactic reactions and angioneurotic edema. - The sedative side effect of the drug should be considered when prescribing it. Dosage and Administration Adults: The recommended daily dose is 1-2 ampoules intramuscularly. Children: Recommended initial dose: For infants aged 1-12 months: 1/2 ampoule intramuscularly; for children aged 1-6 years: 1/2 ampoule intramuscularly. The dose can be increased cautiously, taking into account the patient's response and side effects, however, the dose should not exceed 2 mg/kg of body weight. In case of anaphylactic shock or acute, severe allergic reaction, it is recommended to start treatment with a careful, slow intravenous injection, followed by continuation of injections intramuscularly or oral administration of the drug. Special Patient Populations: Elderly and debilitated patients: Suprastin should be used with particular caution, as antihistamines often cause side effects in these patients (dizziness, drowsiness, decreased blood pressure). Liver dysfunction: Dose reduction may be necessary due to decreased metabolism of the active component in liver diseases. Kidney dysfunction: It may be necessary to change the dosing regimen and reduce the dose because the active component is mainly excreted by the kidneys. Side Effects The following side effects may occur during the use of Suprastin: Central nervous system: sedative effect, fatigue, dizziness, ataxia, nervous excitation, tremor, convulsions, headache, euphoria, encephalopathy, visual disturbances. Cardiovascular system: hypotension, tachycardia, arrhythmia. Gastrointestinal tract: epigastric discomfort, dry mouth, nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, loss or increase of appetite, epigastric pain. Skin and connective tissue: increased photosensitivity. Hematopoietic system: rarely leukopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, other blood disorders. Other: dysuria, urinary retention, myopathy, increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma attack, photosensitization. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the active substance; Acute asthma attack; Not for use in premature and full-term newborns; In pregnant and lactating women.

Помимо хлоропирамина гидрохлорида, раствор для инъекций содержит воду для инъекций. Раствор для внутримышечного введения. В острых, тяжелых случаях возможно внутривенное введение. Показания - Аллергические заболевания, например: сезонный аллергический ринит, конъюнктивит, крапивница, дермографизм, контактный дерматит, пищевая и лекарственная аллергия, аллергия на укусы насекомых, кожный зуд. - Адъювантная терапия системных анафилактических реакций и ангионевротического отека. - При назначении препарата необходимо учитывать его седативный побочный эффект. Способ применения и дозы Взрослым: Рекомендуемая суточная доза составляет 1-2 ампулы внутримышечно. Детям: Рекомендуемая начальная доза: в возрасте 1-12 месяцев: ¼ ампулы внутримышечно; в возрасте 1-6 лет: ½ - 1 ампула внутримышечно. Повышение дозы возможно с осторожностью, учитывая реакцию пациента и побочные эффекты, однако доза не должна превышать 2 мг/кг массы тела. При анафилактическом шоке или острой, тяжелой аллергической реакции рекомендуется начинать лечение осторожной, медленной внутривенной инъекцией, а затем продолжать инъекции внутримышечно или пероральный прием препарата. Побочные эффекты При применении Супрастина могут развиваться следующие побочные эффекты: Центральная нервная система: седативный эффект, утомляемость, головокружение, атаксия, нервное возбуждение, тремор, судороги, головная боль, эйфория, энцефалопатия, нарушение остроты зрения. Сердечно-сосудистая система: гипотензия, тахикардия, аритмия. Желудочно-кишечный тракт: неприятные ощущения в эпигастрии, сухость во рту, тошнота, рвота, запор, диарея, потеря или повышение аппетита, боль в области эпигастрия. Кожа и соединительная ткань: повышенная чувствительность к свету. Кроветворная система: редко лейкопения, агранулоцитоз, гемолитическая анемия, другие нарушения системы крови. Прочие: дизурия, задержка мочи, миопатия, повышение внутриглазного давления, приступ глаукомы, фотосенсибилизация. Противопоказания Гиперчувствительность к активному веществу; Острый приступ астмы; Не применяется у недоношенных и доношенных новорожденных; Беременным и кормящим женщинам.
