What is it?
Usage: The active substance benzydamine has anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties. Due to rapid absorption and local accumulation in inflamed tissues, symptoms disappear quickly. Tantum Verde mouthwash is well tolerated locally and leads to targeted treatment of inflammation symptoms and swallowing problems. Therapeutic indications: Symptomatic treatment of painful inflammatory conditions and swelling in the oral cavity and throat area, such as gingivitis, periodontitis, tonsillitis, as well as inflammation of the pharyngeal mucosa and larynx, especially during colds. It is also used in conservative and extractive dental treatment and for inflammation of the mucous membrane. Consult your doctor if there is no improvement after 3 days or if you feel worse. Pregnancy, breastfeeding and fertility/reproductive capacity: If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, suspect you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this medicine. When used as directed, the medicine can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. How to use: Always use the medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, the recommended dose for adults, adolescents and children from 5 years of age, if they cannot induce the swallowing reflex, is 15 ml (1 tablespoon or 4 sprays if using a 1000 ml bottle with a dispenser) of undiluted solution 2-3 times a day after meals. Use for approximately 20-30 seconds. In young children (2-5 years), Tantum Verde mouthwash should only be used on the advice of a doctor. Since the swallowing reflex is not yet fully developed, it is recommended to use Tantum Verde oral spray in children aged 2-5 years. Tantum Verde mouthwash is not suitable for children under 2 years of age. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor or dentist, the dosage recommendation also applies to elderly patients. Tantum Verde mouthwash is a ready-to-use solution and is used undiluted for rinsing the oral cavity. For use in the mouth and throat. Note: Child-resistant screw cap: To open the bottle, press down on the cap and turn it as usual to open. Storage conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C. Protect from direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Use the solution within 3 months if using a dispenser. Do not use the medicine after the expiry date indicated on the label or carton after "Use by". The expiry date refers to the last day of the given month.
