International Name - Meloxicam, Chondroitine sulfate Dosage Form: Cream for external use Composition Active ingredients: Sodium chondroitin sulfate – 50 mg, Meloxicam – 10 mg; Excipients: Dimethyl sulfoxide – 100 mg, Propylene glycol – 100 mg, Macrogol cetostearate – 12 mg, Cetostearyl alcohol [cetyl alcohol not more than 60%, stearyl alcohol not less than 40%] – 42 mg, Liquid paraffin – 100 mg, Vaseline – 80 mg, Imidourea – 3 mg, Sodium disulfite – 0.5 mg, Water – up to 1.00 g. Pharmacotherapeutic group: Tissue regeneration stimulator + Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug Indications for use The preparation is recommended for use in complex therapy for degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the musculoskeletal system: osteoarthritis, osteochondrosis of the spine; other joint diseases accompanied by pain syndrome. Contraindications Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation (as well as other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), violation of the integrity of the skin at the intended application sites, childhood (up to 12 years). Method of administration and dosage For external use. A 1-5 cm strip of cream is lightly rubbed in, frequency of use – 2-3 times a day. The required amount of the preparation depends on the size of the painful area. After applying the preparation, hands should be washed thoroughly. The duration of treatment depends on the indications and the observed effect. After 2 weeks of using the preparation, a doctor's consultation is required. Side effects Allergic reactions on the skin are possible (itching, redness, rash). In case of any side effects, it is necessary to stop using the cream and consult a doctor. Overdose Due to the extremely low systemic absorption of the active components of the preparation during external use, overdose is practically impossible. Pregnancy and lactation The use of the preparation during pregnancy and lactation is contraindicated. Effect on the ability to drive vehicles and operate mechanisms The preparation does not cause a sedative effect, psychomotor disorders, and does not affect the ability to perform potentially hazardous activities that require increased attention and speed of mental and motor reactions.
