What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Thiaminum+Pyridoxinum+Cyanocobalaminum General Characteristics: International Nonproprietary Name: Thiamine; Pyridoxine; Cyanocobalamin. Main Physical-Chemical Properties: Light pink, round, biconvex, film-coated tablets; Composition: 1 film-coated tablet contains: Thiamine hydrochloride – 100 mg; Pyridoxine hydrochloride – 200 mg; Cyanocobalamin – 0.2 mg. Excipients: Lactose monohydrate, corn starch, hydroxypropylcellulose, povidone, methylcellulose, croscarmellose sodium, anhydrous silicon dioxide, talc, magnesium stearate; Film-coating composition: Opadry White 03F28342 (Hypromellose 6 cP, Titanium dioxide (E 171), Talc, Macrogol 6000). Dosage Form: Film-coated tablets. Pharmacological Group: Vitamin B1 in combination with vitamins B6 and B12. Indications: Peridox is indicated as part of complex therapy for the following diseases and conditions: - Deficiency or increased demand for vitamins B1, B6, and B12; - Nervous system diseases of various etiologies: neuritis and polyneuritis (including facial nerve and retrobulbar neuritis), neuralgia (including trigeminal and intercostal nerves), peripheral paresis and paralysis, polyneuropathy and encephalopathy (including diabetic and alcoholic), lichen planus, systemic neurological diseases caused by B group vitamin deficiency; - Anemias of various genesis; - Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, arthralgia, myalgia; - Convalescence period after prolonged illness; prophylaxis and correction of side effects of antibiotics, antituberculosis drugs, radiation and chemotherapy; chronic alcoholism. Dosage and Administration: For adults and children over 12 years of age, the recommended dose of Peridox is 1-3 tablets per day. Dosage and duration of treatment are determined by the attending physician. Tablets should be swallowed whole with a sufficient amount of water, during or after meals. Side Effects: Gastrointestinal tract: rarely abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea. Nervous system: rarely headache, dizziness. Prolonged use (more than 6-12 months) of high doses of vitamin B6 may in rare cases lead to peripheral sensory neuropathy. Immune system: hypersensitivity reactions, skin rash, itching. Other: tachycardia, sweating. In case of any side effect not listed in the instructions for use, the patient should consult a doctor. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation; Due to the high content of active substances, Peridox is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
