What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - Tobramycinum+Dexamethasonum Clinical-Pharmacological Group Antibacterial and anti-inflammatory combined preparation for topical use in ophthalmology. Composition and Dosage Form: Eye drops: 5 ml in a vial 1 ml Tobramycin ............ 3 mg Dexamethasone ........ 1 mg Preservative: Benzalkonium chloride ..... 0.01% Inactive ingredients: Tyloxapol, Disodium edetate, Sodium chloride, Hydroxyethyl cellulose, Sodium sulfate, Sulfuric acid (for pH adjustment) and distilled water. Eye ointment: 3.5 g in a tube. 1 g Tobramycin ................. 3 mg Dexamethasone ............... 1 mg Preservative: Chlorobutanol ............. 0.5% Inactive ingredients: Mineral oil and white petrolatum. Indications: Blepharitis; Conjunctivitis; Keratitis (without epithelial damage); Prevention of postoperative infections. Dosage and Administration: Suspension 1-2 drops in the lower eyelid every 4-6 hours. Ointment Apply ointment to the lower eyelid 3-4 times a day. Ointment and solution can be used in combination: ointment - in the evening before sleep and solution - during the day. Side Effects: Hypersensitivity and allergic reactions, conjunctival hyperemia. Secondary infections, increased intraocular pressure. Contraindications: Keratitis caused by herpes simplex; Viral infections of the conjunctiva and cornea; Ocular mycobacterial infection; Hypersensitivity to any component of the preparation. Not recommended during removal of foreign bodies from the cornea. Not for intraocular injection.
