Name - Tornaza Ointment Eye 0.3% 5g Tube #1 Use The active ingredient of Tornaza Eye Ointment is tobramycin, which belongs to the group of aminoglycosides and is active against a range of microorganisms that cause eye infections. Tornaza Eye Ointment is used to treat infections of the surface of the eye and its surrounding area caused by bacteria sensitive to tobramycin in adults and children over 1 year of age. How to use Tornaza Eye Ointment Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure about anything, ask your doctor. Use Tornaza Eye Ointment only for your own eyes. Adults, the elderly (over 65 years of age) and children from 1 year of age For mild to moderate severity of the disease, the recommended dose is a small amount of ointment (about a 1.5 cm strip) for the infected eye(s) 2 or 3 times a day. For severe disease, the recommended dosage is a small amount of ointment (about a 1.5 cm strip) for the infected eye(s) 3 or 4 times a day for the first two days, and then 2 or 3 times a day until the infection clears. The usual duration of treatment is 7-10 days. The doctor will determine the duration of treatment. Tornaza Eye Ointment is also used in patients with liver or kidney disorders. Safety and efficacy in children under 1 year of age have not been established, so this preparation is not used in this age group.
