International Nonproprietary Name - Tribulus terrestris herba extractum siccum Clinical-pharmacological group: Urology, Nephrology → Male sexual function regulators → Preparations for erectile dysfunction → For systemic use Tribestan is a herbal preparation containing dry extract of the aerial parts of the plant Tribulus terrestris. Tribestan stimulates the function of the reproductive system, increases libido, erection strength and duration, positively affects lipid metabolism, has a hormone-balancing effect, and alleviates climacteric symptoms in women. Tribestan is used in the complex treatment of decreased libido, impotence (sexual weakness), and male infertility; for reducing dyslipoproteinemia (lipid metabolism disorder), total cholesterol, and low-density lipoproteins; and for alleviating neurovegetative and psychic manifestations of climacteric and post-castration syndrome (condition after surgical removal of ovaries) in women. Tribestan can be used as a general tonic during physical and mental exertion and for faster recovery after severe illness. Pay special attention when using Tribestan in the treatment of women with climacteric syndrome. The transition from therapeutic to maintenance dose should be gradual. A sharp reduction or discontinuation of the effective dose may lead to the reappearance of climacteric symptoms. Taking Tribestan Take Tribestan as described in this leaflet. If you are unsure about anything, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Tablets should be taken orally, after meals. For decreased libido, impotence, and infertility: In men with decreased libido, impotence, and infertility, the recommended dosage is 1-2 tablets three times a day. The duration of treatment is at least 90 days. The course of treatment can be repeated until a satisfactory therapeutic effect is achieved. In women with infertility, the recommended dose is 1-2 tablets 3 times a day, from day 1 to day 12 of the menstrual cycle. This course can be repeated periodically until pregnancy occurs. For dyslipoproteinemia: 2 tablets 3 times a day. The duration of treatment is at least 3 months. For climacteric and post-castration syndrome in women: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day for 60-90 days. After improvement of the condition, gradually transition to a maintenance dose of 2 tablets per day for 1-2 years. As a general tonic: 1-2 tablets 3 times a day. If you miss a dose of Tribestan Do not take a double dose to compensate for a missed dose. If you have any further questions regarding the use of this medicine, please ask your doctor or pharmacist. Possible side effects Like all medicines, Tribestan can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. In patients with a predisposition, hypersensitivity reactions may occur. Трибестан стимулирует функцию половой системы, повышает либидо, силу и продолжительность эрекции, положительно влияет на липидный обмен, оказывает гормонобалансирующее действие и облегчает климактерические симптомы у женщин. Трибестан применяется в комплексном лечении сниженного либидо, импотенции (половой слабости), мужского бесплодия; для снижения общего холестерина и липопротеинов низкой плотности при дислипопротеинемии (нарушение обмена жиров); для облегчения нейровегетативных и психических проявлений климактерического и пост-кастрационного синдрома у женщин (состояние после хирургического удаления яичников). Трибестан может применяться как общетонизирующее средство при физических и психических нагрузках и для более быстрого восстановления после тяжелых заболеваний. При применении Трибестана уделяйте особое внимание лечению женщин с климактерическим синдромом. Переход от лечебной к поддерживающей дозе должен осуществляться постепенно. При резком снижении или отмене эффективной дозы возможно повторное появление климактерических симптомов. Прием Трибестана Принимайте Трибестан так, как описано в данном листке-вкладыше.
