What is it?
Indications: MONTELUKAST for prophylactic and long-term therapy of bronchial asthma (including prevention of daytime and nighttime symptoms); treatment of patients with aspirin-induced asthma; prophylaxis of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction; treatment of symptoms of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. Dosage and Administration: VANSSEAR 4 mg granules are for oral use only. - The granules can be placed directly in the child's mouth or mixed with 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of cold or room temperature infant formula or breast milk. - VANSSEAR 4 mg granules can also be mixed with 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of applesauce, rice cereal, or ice cream. - The medication must be given to the child within 15 minutes of mixing. - VANSSEAR granules are not intended to be dissolved in water or other liquids, although water and liquids can be consumed after taking the medication. Administration with Food and Beverages: VANSSEAR 4 mg oral granules can be mixed with breast milk or infant formula. They can also be mixed with applesauce, rice cereal, or ice cream. The medication must be taken within 15 minutes of mixing. For adult patients aged 15 years and older with bronchial asthma and/or allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial): The daily dose is one 10 mg film-coated tablet once daily, at bedtime (in the evening). For pediatric patients aged 2-5 years with bronchial asthma and/or allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial): The daily dose is one 4 mg chewable tablet once daily, at bedtime (in the evening). For pediatric patients aged 6-14 years with bronchial asthma and/or allergic rhinitis (seasonal, perennial): The daily dose is one 5 mg chewable tablet once daily, at bedtime (in the evening). Contraindications: * The product should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients. * Pregnancy and Lactation There is insufficient data on the use of montelukast during pregnancy. Therefore, VANSSEAR should not be used during pregnancy except in cases of absolute necessity. It is not known whether VANSSEAR is excreted in human milk, as many drugs are excreted in human milk, VANSSEAR should be administered to nursing mothers with great caution. Storage Conditions: Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, out of reach of children. Shelf Life: 2 years. Dispensing Conditions: The product is dispensed by prescription only.
