What is it?
Composition and Dosage Form: Sulodexide 600 LE/2ml solution for injection 250 LE capsules №50 Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Antithrombotic and Anticoagulant Agents Direct-Acting Anticoagulants Indications: - Angiopathies with increased risk of thrombus formation, including post-myocardial infarction; - Cerebrovascular disorders, including the acute period and initial recovery phase of ischemic stroke; dyscirculatory encephalopathy caused by atherosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, hypertensive disease, vascular dementia; - Occlusive lesions of peripheral arteries of both atherosclerotic and diabetic genesis; - Phlebopathies of deep veins, thromboses; - Microangiopathies (nephropathy, retinopathy, neuropathy) and macroangiopathies in diabetes mellitus (diabetic foot syndrome, encephalopathy, cardiomyopathy); - Thrombophilic conditions, antiphospholipid syndrome (prescribed with acetylsalicylic acid, and after low molecular weight heparin); - Treatment of heparin-induced thrombocytopenia, as it does not cause or exacerbate it. Dosage and Administration: Solution for intramuscular and intravenous injection. Oral capsules. The course of treatment should begin with the intramuscular injection of 1 ampoule, or intravenous bolus injection of 1 ampoule, or drip infusion after dissolving the capsule contents in 150-200 ml of physiological saline for 15-20 days. Then, for 30-40 days, therapy should be continued with capsules: 1 capsule is prescribed twice daily between meals. The entire course of treatment should be repeated at least twice a year. The doctor may change the dosage regimen according to the results of clinical and diagnostic examinations. Side Effects: Gastrointestinal: vomiting, nausea, epigastric pain. Allergic reactions: skin rash of various localization. Other: pain, burning, hematoma at the injection site. Contraindications: - Hypersensitivity; - Hemorrhagic diathesis and diseases associated with a high risk of bleeding; - First trimester of pregnancy. Pregnancy and Lactation: Prescribed during pregnancy under strict medical supervision. There is experience of using Sulodexide in patients with type I and II diabetes mellitus with vascular complications and in patients in the third trimester of pregnancy with the development of late-stage toxemia in pregnant women.
