Vigantol-VFM is recommended as a biologically active food supplement for the prevention of vitamin D3 deficiency in the body. Vitamin D3 deficiency in the body is caused by insufficient intake of vitamin D from food products, impaired absorption, inadequate solar ultraviolet radiation insolation, malabsorption, lactase intolerance, and dietary peculiarities. Vigantol-VFM is an additional source of vitamin D and helps the body: strengthen teeth and bones; reduce fatigue and increase tone; normalize the functioning of the musculoskeletal system; maintain immunity; improve concentration and memory; maintain reproductive function; improve skin metabolic processes; normalize carbohydrate-fat metabolism. When taken orally, vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) is almost completely (up to 80%) absorbed in the distal part of the small intestine due to the formation of micellar compounds in the middle of the small intestine. Maximum concentration in tissues is reached after 4-5 hours, after which the concentration slightly decreases and remains at a constant level for a long time. Pharmacological action: Vitamin D is a fat-soluble vitamin that promotes the absorption of calcium, phosphorus, iron, magnesium, and zinc in the intestines. The most important and easily absorbed form of vitamin D for the human body is vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol). It is also called "the sunshine vitamin" because it is the only one that is synthesized in the skin as a result of exposure to the sun's ultraviolet rays. Normalization of vitamin D3 content regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism in the body, participates in the mineralization process of bones and teeth, in the formation of the musculoskeletal system, and is essential for the functioning of the parathyroid gland. It is actively involved in various processes occurring in the body. Dosage and administration: For adolescents and adults, the recommended prophylactic daily dose of Vigantol-VFM as a dietary supplement is: 1 drop (500 IU) during meals.
