IndicationsAscorbic acid is used for the treatment and prevention of bleeding in scurvy, hemorrhagic diathesis, liver, uterine, pulmonary, and other etiologies (including radiation sickness); in cases of overdose of anticoagulants; during infectious diseases and intoxications; in liver diseases; in pregnant women with nephropathy; in Addison's disease; in slow wound healing processes; in bone fractures; in dystrophies and other pathological processes; during heavy physical exertion; during mental overstrain; during pregnancy and lactation.ContraindicationsHypersensitivity to the preparation.Dosage and administrationAdults:For prophylaxis – 0.05–0.1 g per day; for treatment – 0.05–0.1 g 3–5 times a day.Children:For prophylaxis – 0.025 g 2–3 times a day.When doses exceeding 1 g are administered, side effects may develop from the digestive (diarrhea, vomiting) and urinary systems.
