What is it?
VIVANEMA Active Ingredient: 1754.39mg Iron Hydroxide Sucrose Complex, equivalent to 100mg Iron (III) (20mg/ml). Indications: - Iron deficiency anemia where oral iron therapy is inadequate, ineffective, or inappropriate (intolerance to oral iron therapy, malabsorption, inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract such as ulcerative colitis) - Iron deficiency anemia in patients undergoing chronic hemodialysis who are receiving erythropoietin supportive therapy. VIVANEMA IV ampoules should be used after essential and appropriate blood tests (e.g., hemoglobin, hematocrit, ferritin levels, red blood cell count) have been performed. Dosage and Method of Administration: Dosage/Frequency and Duration of Treatment Adults: 1-2 ampoules (100-200mg Iron) VIVANEMA 1-3 times per week, depending on hemoglobin levels. In hemodialysis patients, the total dose is 1000mg in 10 divided doses. The recommended dose may be repeated if necessary. The frequency of administration should not exceed 3 times per week. Method of Administration: VIVANEMA should only be administered intravenously (slow intravenous injection or infusion). It should not be administered intramuscularly or as an intravenous bolus injection. A test dose should be administered before the first dose of VIVANEMA. In case of allergic reaction or intolerance during administration, treatment should be stopped immediately. Store at room temperature, not exceeding 25⁰C, in a tightly closed container in the dark, out of reach of children. Do not freeze.
