What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name (Active Substance): lutein, zeaxanthin Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Ophthalmology Composition: Lutein, Zeaxanthin Pharmacological Properties: Lutein and its isomer zeaxanthin are carotenoids belonging to the xanthophyll group. Lutein and zeaxanthin selectively enter the composition of the retina, macula, and lens of the eye. Particularly important is their antioxidant and anti-radical action, which protects the eye and its parts from harmful light. Lutein increases macular pigment density. It provides protection in two ways: by absorbing blue light before it reaches the photoreceptors, and by neutralizing singlet oxygen and other free radicals through its quenching effect. Lutein and zeaxanthin are widely used and play an important role in protecting the eyes of newborns from strong light. Studies have shown that lutein increases the level of biological antioxidants and reduces radical speed in newborns. Indications: Retinopathy of prematurity Retinitis pigmentosa Strabismus Lacrimal gland diseases Refractive errors (hyperopia, myopia, myopic astigmatism and mixed astigmatism, amblyopia (lazy eye)) Dosage and Administration: The preparation is recommended for: 0 to 2 years: 3 drops 1 time per day 2 to 5 years: 5 drops 1 time per day 5 years and above: 5 drops 2 times per day The preparation can be taken directly into the mouth by dropping from the bottle's dropper or with a teaspoon. Shake the bottle well before use. Dosage Form: Oral drops 6ml #1 Special Instructions: Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Do not use the preparation if you have an allergy or hypersensitivity to any of its components. Since the preparation contains natural ingredients, different batches may have different colors; this is not related to the quality of the finished product. Storage Conditions and Shelf Life: See packaging Store at a temperature not exceeding 20°C, protected from light and moisture. Store in a dry and cool place. The preparation is not allowed to be used after the expiration date, which is indicated on the bottle and box. Keep out of reach of children (children under 3 years old).
