What is it?
Composition: Eye-ear drops. 1ml of the preparation contains: Active substances: Dexamethasone 1.0mg, Neomycin (in sulfate form) 3.5mg, Polymyxin B sulfate 6000IU; Excipients: Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Benzalkonium chloride, Disodium edetate, Sodium chloride, Sodium hydroxide, Hydrochloric acid, Polysorbate 80, Water for injection. Indications: Acute and chronic bacterial diseases of the eye: Blepharitis; Conjunctivitis; Keratitis; Iridocyclitis; Prevention of post-operative inflammatory processes of the anterior segment of the eye. Acute and chronic external and middle otitis; Infectious complications caused by surgical interventions on the auditory organ. Contraindications: Keratitis caused by Herpes simplex (dendritic keratitis); Viral diseases of the cornea and conjunctiva (including chickenpox); Ocular mycobacterial infections; Fungal diseases of the eye; Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation; The preparation is not prescribed after uncomplicated removal of a foreign body from the cornea. Possible side effects: Vizorel eye-ear drops can cause allergic reactions associated with both dexamethasone and antibacterial components, as well as their combination. Allergic reactions: Itching, eyelid swelling, conjunctival redness (due to the action of antibiotics). Dosage and method of administration: For mild infections, instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac 4-6 times a day. For severe forms, eye drops can be used every hour. If symptoms subside, the frequency of administration can be reduced. For external ear infections, 4 drops 3-4 times a day; for middle ear inflammation, infectious complications caused by surgical interventions on the ear, and infectious otitis, 4-10 drops 3-4 times a day. Special instructions: The preparation is intended for topical use only. When using preparations containing glucocorticosteroids for more than 10 days, regular intraocular pressure tonometry is necessary; wearing contact lenses is not recommended during treatment. The patient should avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent microbial contamination of the vial contents. The vial containing Vizorel eye-ear drops should be shaken before use. Pregnancy and lactation: The use of the preparation in pregnant women is possible as prescribed by the attending physician. During lactation, the issue of discontinuing breastfeeding should be decided. Dosage form: Vizorel eye-ear drops are available in a 5ml plastic dropper bottle with an HDPE-LDPE cap. 1 bottle is placed in a cardboard box with instructions for use. Shelf life: 2 years. Storage conditions: Store at room temperature not exceeding 25?, in the original packaging, out of reach of children. After first opening, it is valid for 4 weeks. Dosage form: Eye-ear drops.
