What is it?
Name- Zalain 300mg #1 Vaginal Suppository Indications- Local treatment of vaginal mucosal infections (candidal vulvovaginitis) caused by Candida species. Dosage and Administration- Zalain suppositories are used intravaginally once. Before using the product, it is necessary to wash the external genitalia using neutral or alkaline soap. One suppository is inserted deep into the vagina, lying on your back, before bedtime. If clinical symptoms of the disease persist, another suppository can be inserted after seven days. During the period of treatment with suppositories, in case of accompanying infection of the labia and surrounding areas (candidal vulvitis), it is necessary to additionally use Zalain cream on the external genitalia and perianal area. Contraindications- Hypersensitivity to sertaconazole, other components of Zalain suppositories, or imidazole derivatives. Pregnancy and Lactation- There is insufficient data on the use of sertaconazole during pregnancy and lactation. Preclinical studies have shown that sertaconazole does not have teratogenic and embryotoxic effects. Considering the absence of systemic action of the drug after intravaginal administration and the method of use of the drug (single administration), Zalain suppositories can be used during pregnancy and lactation if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child, according to the doctor's assessment. Effect on ability to drive or operate machinery- The use of Zalain vaginal suppositories does not affect this ability. Shelf life- 3 years. Do not use the product after the expiry date indicated on the packaging
