Indications Zanidip is prescribed for high blood pressure, so-called arterial hypertension. It is taken by patients over 18 years of age. Not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age. Dosage and Administration Take Zanidip as prescribed by your doctor. Usually, one 10 mg Zanidip coated tablet is taken once a day, at the same time, preferably in the morning 15 minutes before breakfast, as fatty food significantly increases the level of the medication in the blood. If necessary, your doctor may increase the dose. It is recommended to swallow the tablet whole with water. Contraindications Do not take Zanidip: - if you are allergic to lercanidipine - if you are allergic to any other ingredients of Zanidip - if you have had allergic reactions to similar medications to Zanidip tablets (such as amlodipine, nicardipine, felodipine, isradipine, nifedipine, or lacidipine) - during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you are planning to become pregnant and are not using contraception - if you are taking Zanidip and think you might be pregnant, consult your doctor - if you suffer from certain heart conditions: uncontrolled heart failure; obstruction between the heart and major blood vessels; unstable angina (latent or progressively worsening angina); within one month of a heart attack - if you suffer from severe kidney or liver failure Special Warnings Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you experience any of the following symptoms: - certain heart conditions or heart rhythm disturbances - kidney or liver problems, or if you are undergoing dialysis If you have an intolerance to lactose, galactose, galactosemia, or glucose/galactose malabsorption syndrome, as Zanidip 20 mg tablets contain 30 mg of lactose. Storage Conditions and Shelf Life Store the preparation at room temperature, in a dry place, out of reach of children. Shelf life - 3 years. Dispensing Conditions The preparation is dispensed by prescription only.
