What is it?
Active ingredients: Metronidazole and Clotrimazole Indications: Indicated for the treatment of vaginal infections caused by susceptible microorganisms (protozoa, bacteria, fungi). Dosage: Always use the preparation exactly as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist. The recommended dose is one ZIFEX DUO pessary once a day. Duration of treatment: 7 to 10 days. Pessaries should be inserted deep into the vagina, preferably in the evening. Accompanying specific medical treatment of the male partner is recommended, whether it is the treatment of an asymptomatic male partner or a male partner with a negative Trichomonas vaginalis culture. Do not use ZIFEX DUO during your menstrual cycle; treatment should be completed before the onset of menstruation. When treated with ZIFEX DUO, it is recommended to avoid vaginal intercourse, as the partner may become infected, and the effectiveness and safety of rubber contraceptives (e.g., condoms or diaphragms) may be reduced. Contraindications: If you are allergic to metronidazole, clotrimazole, or any other ingredient of this preparation (listed in the composition). Pregnancy, breastfeeding, and fertility If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or plan to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before using this preparation. Caution is recommended during pregnancy, especially in the first trimester. Do not use this preparation during breastfeeding. Storage conditions: Store below 25C, in the original packaging, protected from light.
