What is it?
Active substance: Zoledronic acid Clinical-pharmacological group: Agent affecting bone structure and mineralization, bisphosphonate. Composition and dosage form: Concentrate for preparation of infusion solution: 5 ml in a vial 1 vial Zoledronic acid (anhydrous) ............ 4 mg Dosage: As recommended by the doctor Indications: Hypercalcemia caused by malignant tumors; prevention of bone-related symptoms (pathological fractures, spinal cord compression, complications after surgery and radiation therapy, or hypercalcemia in patients with malignant neoplasms and bone damage). Contraindications: The preparation Zometa for infusion is contraindicated in pregnant and lactating women, as well as in patients with hypersensitivity to Zoledronic acid, other bisphosphonates, or any other component of the preparation. Pregnancy and lactation: Considering that there is no experience with the use of Zometa during pregnancy, this preparation cannot be recommended for patients in this group, except when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the risk to the fetus. * It is not currently known whether Zoledronic acid is excreted in breast milk. Zometa should not be taken during breastfeeding. Dispensing conditions: The preparation is dispensed by prescription only.
