What is it?
Acyclovir Indications: Skin and mucous membrane infections caused by Herpes simplex virus types 1 and 2, genital herpes, shingles, chickenpox. Dosage and Administration: Apply the preparation 5 times a day (every 4 hours) in a thin layer to the affected and adjacent areas of the skin. Apply the ointment either with a cotton swab or with clean hands to avoid additional infection of the affected areas. Therapy should continue until crusts form on the sores or until they heal completely. The duration of therapy is on average 5 days and should not exceed 10 days. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to acyclovir and other components of the preparation, with caution – pregnancy, lactation, dehydration, renal insufficiency. Pregnancy and Lactation: Adequate and controlled clinical studies on the safety of using the preparation during pregnancy have not been conducted. Use is indicated only in cases where the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. During treatment, the issue of discontinuing breastfeeding must be resolved. Storage Conditions: At a temperature not exceeding 250 C, in a dry, protected from light, and inaccessible to children place.
