- Composition: The active substance is bisoprolol hemifumarate. Each tablet contains 10 mg of bisoprolol hemifumarate. Excipients are microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, disodium phosphate anhydrous, magnesium stearate, croscarmellose sodium, titanium dioxide (E-171), macrogol 6000, and iron yellow oxide (E-172). Pharmacotherapeutic group: Beta-adrenoreceptor antagonist. Indications: Hypertension, chronic stable angina, combined treatment of chronic heart failure with reduced systolic function. Dosage and method of administration: Treatment with Bisoprolol Normon requires regular monitoring by a doctor. This is especially necessary at the start of treatment and when increasing the dose. The tablet should be taken in the morning with a small amount of water, independently of meals. The tablet should not be chewed or crushed. Treatment with Bisoprolol Normon is usually long-term. Treatment of high blood pressure and angina in adults: The initial dose is 5 mg per day. If necessary, the doctor may increase the dose in small increments up to 10 mg or to a maximum dose of 20 mg. Treatment should not be stopped suddenly, but the dose should be gradually reduced over 1-2 weeks. Treatment of chronic, stable heart failure: 1.25 mg bisoprolol once daily for one week, 2.5 mg bisoprolol once daily for one week, 3.75 mg bisoprolol once daily for one week, 5 mg bisoprolol once daily for four weeks. 7.5 mg bisoprolol once daily for four weeks, 10 mg bisoprolol once daily for maintenance therapy. The maximum recommended dose is 10 mg bisoprolol. For mild to moderate renal or hepatic impairment, dose adjustment is usually not necessary. In terminal renal or hepatic impairment, the daily dose should not exceed 10 mg. No dose adjustment is necessary in elderly patients. The use of the medication is not recommended in the pediatric population.
