What is it?

Chlorhexidine - Chlorhexidin 0.05% 100ml Active Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Dosage Form: Solution Dosage and Administration For topical use. For external use. Apply 5-10 ml of solution to damaged skin or mucous membranes for 1-3 minutes, 2-3 times a day (with a tampon or irrigation). The preparation is effective for the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases if applied within 2 hours after sexual intercourse. Using the dropper tip, instill 2-3 ml of the bottle's contents into the urethra (for men), 1-2 ml for women, and 5-10 ml into the vagina for 2-3 minutes. Treat the skin of the inner thighs, pubic area, and genitals. After the procedure, do not urinate for 2 hours. Complex treatment of urethritis and urethroprostatitis is carried out by introducing 2-3 ml of Chlorhexidine solution into the urethra 1-2 times a day for a 10-day course, with treatment administered every other day. For local use, the rinse solution is usually prescribed 2-3 times a day. Indications Prevention of sexually transmitted infections (chlamydia, ureaplasmosis, trichomoniasis, gonorrhea, syphilis, genital herpes - apply no later than 2 hours after sexual intercourse); disinfection of skin (abrasions, cracks). Purulent wounds, infected burns, bacterial and fungal diseases of the skin and mucous membranes in surgery, urology, obstetrics-gynecology, and dentistry (gingivitis, stomatitis, aphthae, periodontitis, alveolitis). Composition Active Ingredient: Chlorhexidine Bigluconate Solution 20% - 2.5 ml (equivalent to 0.5 g Chlorhexidine Bigluconate). Excipient: Purified Water - up to 1000 ml. Contraindications Hypersensitivity, dermatitis. Use with caution: Children. Pregnancy and Lactation: During pregnancy and breastfeeding, use only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus and child. Special Instructions Patients with open head trauma, spinal cord injury, or tympanic membrane perforation should avoid contact with the brain, meninges, or inner ear. In case of contact with the mucous membranes of the eyes, rinse quickly and thoroughly with water. The preparation is partially decomposed at temperatures above 100°C. Pharmacotherapeutic Group Antiseptics and disinfectants; biguanides and amidines. Drug Interactions Use in a neutral environment. At pH levels above 8, a precipitate forms. Do not use with anionic compounds, including soap. Chlorhexidine bigluconate is incompatible with carbonates, chlorides, phosphates, borates, sulfates, and citrates. Chlorhexidine bigluconate increases the sensitivity of microorganisms to kanamycin, neomycin, cephalosporins, and chloramphenicol. Ethyl alcohol enhances the bactericidal effect of the preparation. Storage Temperature 2°C to 25°C
