What is it?
Name - Ciprofloxacin Eye/Ear Drops 0.3% 10ml Vial #1 Indications • Various infectious diseases of the eye and its adnexa caused by bacteria sensitive to the drug: acute and subacute conjunctivitis, blepharoconjunctivitis, blepharitis, bacterial corneal ulcer, with or without hypopyon, bacterial keratitis, or keratoconjunctivitis, chronic dacryocystitis or meibomianitis; • Preoperative prophylaxis in ophthalmic surgery. Treatment of postoperative infectious complications; • Treatment and prophylaxis of infectious complications caused by trauma to the eyeball and ocular apparatus (with or without foreign body). Dosage and Administration Unless otherwise indicated by a physician, the following doses are recommended: For mild to moderate acute infections, eye drops are prescribed: 1-2 drops in the affected eye every 4 hours. For severe infections, 2 drops every hour. After improvement, the frequency of instillation may be reduced. The duration of treatment depends on the type of infection and can last 7-14 days. Side Effects • Blurred vision, discomfort; • Conjunctival hyperemia; • Keratitis; • Keratopathy; • Burning sensation; • Sensation of a foreign body in the eye; • Sensation of crusting on the eyes; • Lacrimation; • Unpleasant taste in the mouth after instillation; The preparation is well tolerated by patients. Contraindications • Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin and other quinoline group drugs; • Pregnancy and lactation; • Age under 18 years.
