Properties

What is it?

Florolife Composition: 1 ml of the preparation contains active substances: Fluorometholone 1 mg, Tetrahydrozoline hydrochloride 0.25 mg. Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, Aluminum hydroxide gel, Hypromellose, Boric acid, Disodium tetraborate decahydrate, Sodium chloride, Disodium edetate, Water for injection. Indications - Acute non-infectious allergic conjunctivitis and keratitis (especially with pronounced edema and hyperemia); - Non-infectious inflammation of the anterior segment of the eye (including anterior uveitis, episcleritis, and scleritis); - Postoperative period after strabismus, cataract, or glaucoma surgery, in combination with antimicrobial therapy. Dosage regimen: 1 drop 2-3 times a day. In adults, the dose can be increased during the first 24-48 hours according to the doctor's prescription. Caution should be exercised in case of reactive hyperemia. Children The use of Florolife is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age. Due to possible systemic side effects, the use of Florolife in children is with the minimum effective dose and for the minimum duration. Elderly patients There is no data on the need for dose adjustment in patients over 65 years of age. Renal/hepatic impairment Studies have not been conducted in patients with renal/hepatic impairment. Method of administration: Shake the bottle before use. Instill one drop of the preparation into the conjunctival sac of the eye/eyes, with the patient looking upwards and the lower eyelid pulled down. The contents of the bottle remain sterile until the cap is first opened. To avoid contamination of the bottle's contents, do not touch the dropper to any surface. Also, do not touch the eye with the dropper, as this may cause eye injury. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the active or excipient substances of the preparation; - Infectious conjunctivitis or keratitis; - Corneal lesions and ulcerative processes, particularly in patients with infections caused by viruses, bacteria, or fungi (e.g., herpes simplex, ophthalmic complications after vaccination, untreated purulent diseases, tuberculosis); - Glaucoma; - Topical use of steroids can cause perforation in conditions that cause thinning of the corneal parenchyma or sclera; - Dry eye, especially in patients with dry keratoconjunctivitis (Sjogren's syndrome); - Children under 6 years of age. Store at a temperature not exceeding 25 C. Keep out of reach of children! The preparation can be used for 15 days after the first opening of the bottle.
