Composition: Each spray contains 50 mcg of mometasone furoate (as monohydrate). Indications Used in adults and children aged 6 years and older for the treatment of symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) and perennial allergic rhinitis (inflammation of the nasal lining) that occurs throughout the year. Used for the prophylaxis (prevention) of hay fever in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and older. Can be used in children aged 2 to 6 years with a diagnosis of allergic rhinitis. Prophylactic treatment should be started 2-4 weeks before the expected start of the pollen season. Neptas is also used for the treatment of nasal polyps (non-cancerous growths) in adults aged 18 years and older. Dosage and administration Hay fever and perennial rhinitis Adults, elderly and children aged 12 years and older The usual dose is 2 sprays in each nostril once a day. Once symptoms are controlled, your doctor may recommend 1 spray in each nostril once a day. Children aged 2 to 11 years The usual dose is 1 spray in each nostril once a day. Nasal polyps In adults aged 18 years and older The usual starting dose is two sprays in each nostril once a day. Neptas nasal spray is equipped with a dust cap that protects the spray and keeps it clean. Remove it before using the spray and replace it after use. Do not puncture the tip of the spray pump. If you are using the spray for the first time, you need to pump the bottle 10 times until a fine mist is produced: 1. Gently shake the bottle; 2. Place your index and middle fingers on either side of the spray nozzle, and your thumb under the bottle; 3. Hold the nozzle away from you and then press down with your fingers to spray; If you have not used the spray for 14 days or more, you need to spray the bottle 2 times until a fine mist is produced. After using the spray, carefully clean the nozzle with a clean tissue or cloth and replace the dust cap. Contraindications Neptas should not be used in the following cases: Allergy (hypersensitivity) to mometasone furoate or any of the other ingredients of this preparation; Nasal infection. The infection must be completely cured before using the nasal spray; Recent surgery on the nose or presence of a nasal injury. The nasal spray should not be used until it has healed. Use during pregnancy and lactation Consult your doctor before using the preparation. Storage conditions Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C. Protect from direct sunlight. Do not freeze.
