What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - hypromellose, dextran Clinical-pharmacological group: Ophthalmology Composition 1 ml of the preparation contains: Active substances: Dextran 70 - 1mg, Hypromellose - 3mg. Excipients: Benzalkonium chloride, Sodium chloride, Potassium chloride, Sodium tetraborate, Sodium hydroxide and/or Hydrochloric acid, Water for injections. Pharmacotherapeutic group Artificial tears and other indifferent preparations. Pharmacological properties Slezin Forte is an ophthalmic agent for topical use. Hypromellose is a protector of the corneal epithelium, has a moisturizing and soothing effect, and has high adhesion, which increases the duration of contact of the solution with the cornea. The refractive index of the solution is analogous to natural tears. It helps restore the optical characteristics, stability, and formation of the tear film. Slezin Forte contains dextran, which, together with natural tears, increases the stability of the tear film. The preparation compensates for tear deficiency and improves corneal hydration. Indications for use - "Dry eye" syndrome; - Relief of corneal syndrome (including discomfort, burning, foreign body sensation). Method of administration and dosage For topical use only. Instill 1-2 drops into the conjunctival sac of the affected eye(s) as needed. If there is no effect within 3 days of starting treatment, treatment should be discontinued. Do not touch the eye or eyelid with the tip of the dropper. Contraindications - Hypersensitivity to the components of the preparation. Special instructions The preparation contains benzalkonium chloride, which can cause eye irritation and discoloration of soft contact lenses. Patients using contact lenses should remove their lenses before instilling the preparation and reinsert them 15 minutes after using the preparation. In case of any signs of hypersensitivity, the use of the preparation should be discontinued. Effect on ability to drive and operate machinery Blurred vision may occur immediately after instillation, which may make it difficult to drive or operate machinery. It is recommended to start work 15 minutes after instillation. Use during pregnancy and lactation Adequate and controlled studies in pregnant and lactating women have not been conducted. Use in pediatrics There is no data on the possibility of using the preparation in children.
