What is it?
International Nonproprietary Name - PARACETAMOL; PHENIRAMINE; PHENYLEPHRINE Clinical-Pharmacological Group: Remedy for symptoms of ARVI and "cold" (non-narcotic analgesic + alpha-adrenomimetic + H1-histamine receptor blocker). Composition and Dosage Form: Dosage powder (apple and cinnamon flavor) for preparation of oral solution: 21.78 g per sachet, 10 sachets per pack. 1 sachet: Paracetamol .......................... 325 mg Pheniramine maleate .................... 20 mg Phenylephrine hydrochloride ..... 10 mg Indications: Infectious-inflammatory diseases - flu, ARVI ("cold") accompanied by high temperature, chills and fever, headache, runny nose, nasal congestion, sneezing, and muscle pain. Dosage and Administration: Take orally. Dissolve the contents of one sachet in 1 glass of boiled hot water. Take hot. Sugar can be added to taste. Repeat dose can be taken every 4 hours, not more than 3 doses in 24 hours. The preparation can be used at any time of the day, but it shows the best effect when taken before sleep, at night. If symptoms are not relieved within 3 days of starting the preparation, consult a doctor. Side Effects: ♦ Allergic reactions (rash, itching, urticaria, angioneurotic edema), increased excitability, decreased psychomotor reaction speed, feeling of fatigue, dry mouth, urinary retention, vomiting, nausea, stomach pain, palpitations, increased blood pressure, dizziness, sleep disturbance, mydriasis, accommodation paresis, increased intraocular pressure are possible. ♦ Considering the presence of paracetamol: rarely - blood system disorders (anemia, thrombocytopenia, leukopenia, agranulocytosis); ♦ Prolonged use of high doses can cause hepatotoxic and nephrotoxic effects, hemolytic anemia, methemoglobinemia, pancytopenia. Contraindications: * Hypersensitivity to individual components of the preparation; * Pregnancy, lactation period; * Portal hypertension; * Alcoholism; * Renal failure; * Glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency; * Children under 12 years of age. Use with caution: Arterial hypertension, diabetes mellitus, angle-closure glaucoma, severe liver and kidney diseases, lung diseases (including bronchial asthma), difficulty urinating in case of benign prostatic hyperplasia. Congenital hyperbilirubinemia (Gilbert's, Dubin-Johnson, and Rotors syndromes).
