What is it?
Composition: Active substance - Moxifloxacin hydrochloride - 0.02725g (equivalent to 0.025g moxifloxacin); Excipients - Sodium chloride - 0.026g, Boric acid - 0.035g; Benzalkonium chloride - 0.00025g, Water for injection - up to 5ml. Indications: Ocular infections caused by microorganisms susceptible to the drug: Bacterial conjunctivitis. Contraindications: Hypersensitivity to the drug and other quinolone-class chemotherapeutic agents or any component of the drug, neonatal period. Dosage and Administration: Adults and elderly: Instill 1 drop 3 times daily for 7 days. Children: Dose adjustment is not required for this patient category. Side effects: Eye pain and irritation. If any side effect occurs, including those not listed in this instruction, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Use during pregnancy and lactation: There is insufficient data on the safety of moxifloxacin eye drops in pregnant women. Since systemic absorption of moxifloxacin eye drops is negligible, its use during pregnancy is permissible. Caution is advised when using the drug in pregnant women. The drug is used with caution during lactation, as it is presumed that moxifloxacin is excreted in breast milk. Interactions with other drugs: No specific studies have been conducted with ocular forms of moxifloxacin. Storage conditions: Store at temperatures of 8-25C, protected from light and out of reach of children. Shelf life: 2 years. Do not use after the expiry date indicated on the packaging. After opening, the contents of the vial should be used within 1 month.
